AI agents for lead gen

BuildWire builds AI agents for lead gen. They screen each inbound form fill against your ICP (ideal customer profile). They enrich contacts with public data. They score leads by fit and intent, and route each qualified one to the right owner in your CRM. Your team opens a ranked queue and can act on the best leads the same day.

The busywork

The lead work that eats the week

  • Checking a form queue to see which new sign-ups are worth a call
  • Copying form data into a CRM field by field
  • Searching LinkedIn and company sites for basic firmographic data
  • Debating whether a lead meets the bar to pass to sales
  • Assigning leads to reps by hand because routing rules live in someone's head

What we build

Systems we build for lead gen

Each system is built around the way interest already arrives in your business. These are the six we build most often.

Lead qualification agent

Reads each inbound form fill, checks it against your ICP, and marks the lead as qualified, unqualified or needs review. When key data is missing, it asks one follow-up question before it decides.

Runs on: your CRM, n8n, Claude agents

You get: a qualification flag on every lead with the reason recorded, before a person reviews it

Lead enrichment agent

Takes a name, email and company and finds public data: company size, industry, funding stage, technology stack and recent news. It writes the enriched fields back to your CRM.

Runs on: Clay, n8n, Claude agents

You get: a contact record with context already filled in, so the person opening it knows what they need

Lead scoring agent

Scores qualified leads by fit and intent signals, such as pricing page visits, job changes and company funding events. Borderline scores go to a review queue where a person decides.

Runs on: Clay, Grok Bot, Claude agents, your CRM

You get: a ranked list sorted by purchase likelihood, updated on each run, with the signals that drove each score

Intent signal monitor

Watches public signals for your named target accounts: job postings that suggest buying intent, funding rounds, product launches and leadership changes. Flags accounts that cross your set threshold.

Runs on: Grok Bot, n8n, Claude agents

You get: a daily digest of target accounts matched to a buying signal, ready to pass to outreach (see AI agents for inbound and outbound →)

Form-to-CRM automation

Moves each form submission into your CRM the moment it arrives, deduplicates against existing contacts, sets the lead source and triggers the right next step.

Runs on: n8n, your CRM, your form tool

You get: clean CRM records with duplicates merged and the lead source set on every contact

Lead routing engine

Sends each qualified lead to the right owner based on territory, segment or account size rules. Logs the assignment and sends a notification in Slack or email.

Runs on: n8n, your CRM, Slack

You get: every lead assigned as it arrives, and the owner notified in Slack or email

How it works

One system first, then the next

  1. Talk. You walk us through how leads arrive and where they get stuck. We tell you what is worth automating and what is not.
  2. Scope. You get a short written scope: what we build, which forms and CRM fields it connects to, and how we will know it works.
  3. Build. We build inside your CRM and tools, and you see each part as it takes shape.
  4. Run. We hand it over with documentation, or stay on to run and extend it.

Agents qualify, enrich and score. A person on your team reviews the queue and decides which leads go forward.

What stays human

The decisions we never hand to an agent

  • ICP definition. The agent checks leads against your criteria, but your team writes and updates those criteria.
  • Scores that need context. Leads flagged for review go to a person, who decides the outcome.
  • Routing rules. The agent follows the rules your team sets. Any change to territory or ownership logic is a human decision.

Built and documented

Systems we have built and written up

  • A four-step workflow for building a negative ICP gate before lead scoring, with a three-tier exclusion file an agent loads on every run. → /blog/negative-icp-ai-sdr-agents/
  • A free Claude Skill for scoring and ranking leads using intent signals and business event triggers. → /claude-skills/signal-scoring/
  • The Busywork Map, a free tool that ranks what to automate first across your marketing and lead gen work. → /busywork-map/

We run our own marketing on systems like these.

FAQ

Questions we hear

What does an AI agent for lead gen do?

It handles the repeated work around incoming leads: screening form fills, adding context from public data, scoring leads by fit and intent, and routing each one to the right person. It works from your real data and records every decision, so your team knows why each lead was scored the way it was.

Will the agent change which leads go to my CRM?

The agent enriches and scores inside records you already have. Deduplication and routing run on rules your team sets. A person reviews the queue before any lead moves to active outreach. The agent does not push leads forward on its own.

Which CRMs and form tools do you connect to?

Most builds start with the CRM and form tool a team already uses. We confirm which tools we can connect to during scoping, and we build the connection to match your existing setup.

How is this different from what my CRM already does?

Most CRM scoring tools use page views and email opens inside your own system. Our agents pull in signals from outside your CRM: job changes, funding events and public web signals. We build a scoring layer that uses all of them together.

How long does a build take?

We agree the timeline in the written scope before any build starts. A single system, such as form-to-CRM automation or a lead scoring agent, typically takes one to three weeks to build and test on your data.

How much does this cost?

We do not publish prices, because every build is scoped to the work. After a call, you get a written scope with the price, the timeline and how we will measure success.

We will tell you what is worth automating and what should stay with your team.
