AI agents for conversational and knowledge work

BuildWire builds AI agents for teams that need a smarter front line with customers and with their own knowledge. The agents qualify inbound leads and book meetings by voice, capture and pre-qualify visitors on your site, and answer questions drawn from your own documents. The agent passes any conversation to a person when it is unsure and never commits to price, contract or refunds.

The busywork

The conversational work that eats the week

  • Answering the same pre-sales questions over and over on chat and email
  • Qualifying inbound leads by hand before they reach your sales team
  • Searching through documents and old threads to answer a question the team has answered before
  • Manually booking meetings after a lead fills in a form
  • Losing leads who arrive outside business hours and find no one to talk to

What we build

Systems we build for conversational and knowledge work

Each system is built around your workflow, your knowledge base and the channels your buyers already use. These are the five we build most often.

Voice agent for lead qualification and booking

Calls or receives calls, asks qualification questions from your criteria and books a meeting when the lead fits. Each call discloses to the caller that they are speaking to an AI, and we build within local calling rules. The agent transfers to a person when it cannot answer or when the caller asks.

Runs on: a voice platform, Claude agents, n8n, your CRM

You get: qualified leads in your calendar, without a person handling every call

Inbound chatbot for capture and pre-sales

Sits on your site and greets visitors with relevant questions. It collects name, email, company and intent, answers common pre-sales questions and routes the lead to the right person or queue.

Runs on: Claude agents, n8n, your CRM, your website

You get: an always-on lead capture layer that pre-qualifies visitors before they reach your team

Knowledge base answers from your own documents

Connects to your help articles, product docs, sales decks or internal guides and returns answers drawn from those documents. This approach is called RAG, short for retrieval-augmented generation: the agent searches your documents, finds the relevant passage and builds an answer from what it finds. We set it to show the source document with every reply.

Runs on: Claude agents, n8n, your document store

You get: answers grounded in your own content, with a source reference for every reply and a handoff for questions outside your approved content

Hermes Agent for WhatsApp, Telegram and Slack

Puts a self-hosted conversational agent on the messaging channels your team or customers already use. Hermes Agent runs on infrastructure you control, with the model provider you choose. See the Hermes Agent stack page at /stack/hermes-agent/.

Runs on: Hermes Agent, your chosen model, WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack

You get: a conversational layer on the channels you already use, hosted where you decide

Pre-sales question handler

Answers the product, availability and process questions that arrive before a buying conversation starts. It escalates to a person for anything that requires a commitment or a custom answer.

Runs on: Claude agents, n8n, your CRM, your knowledge base

You get: faster first replies to buyers, with a clear handoff for anything the agent cannot confirm

How it works

One system first, then the next

  1. Talk. You tell us the conversations your team handles by hand today. We tell you what an agent can take over and where a person needs to stay in the loop.
  2. Scope. You get a short written scope: what we build, which channels and tools it connects to, and how we will know it works.
  3. Build. We build inside your tools, and you see each part as it takes shape.
  4. Run. We hand it over with documentation, or stay on to run and extend it.

The agent answers questions and collects information. It hands off to a person when it is unsure and never commits to price, contract or refunds.

What stays human

The decisions we never hand to an agent

  • Pricing commitments, contract terms and refund decisions.
  • Any conversation where the buyer has a complaint or the answer is outside your approved content.
  • The review and approval of new agent answers before they go live.

FAQ

Questions we hear

What can an AI voice agent do for lead qualification?

A voice agent calls or receives calls, asks qualification questions from your criteria and books a meeting when the lead fits. It discloses that the caller is speaking to an AI, follows local calling rules and transfers to a person when it cannot answer. It fills your calendar without a person on every call.

What is RAG and why does it matter for chatbots?

RAG stands for retrieval-augmented generation. The agent searches your own documents, finds the relevant passage and builds its answer from that passage. Your chatbot answers from your own help content, product specs or internal guides, with a source reference attached to every reply.

Will the chatbot make promises on price or contracts?

No. We build the agent to answer within what you have approved and to hand off to a person when a commitment is needed. Pricing, contract terms and refunds stay with your team.

Can the agent work on WhatsApp or Telegram?

Yes. Hermes Agent puts a conversational layer on WhatsApp, Telegram and Slack, and it runs on infrastructure you control with the model provider you choose. We confirm which channels fit your setup during scoping.

How long does a build take?

We agree the timeline in the written scope before any build starts. A single system, such as an inbound chatbot or a knowledge base agent, is usually the starting point. We add the next system once the first one is running and your team has reviewed its output.

How much do conversational AI agents cost?

We do not publish prices, because every build is scoped to the work. After a call, you get a written scope with the price, the timeline and how we will measure success.

Tell us the conversations eating your team's time.

We will tell you what an agent can handle and where a person needs to stay in the loop.
