👋 Hey,
Welcome to the latest edition of The AI Driven Marketer!
Every week, I cut through the noise to bring you the most practical marketing AI news, tools, and a battle-tested automation workflow you can plug directly into your business.
Let's get into the build.
⚡ The AI Pulse: What Marketers Need to Know
Google launches Gemini 3.1 Pro with doubled reasoning power:
Google released Gemini 3.1 Pro on February 19, designed for tasks where a simple answer isn't enough. The model scored 77.1% on the ARC-AGI-2 benchmark (which tests novel logic patterns), more than doubling the reasoning performance of its predecessor, Gemini 3 Pro. It's available through the Gemini app, Gemini API, Vertex AI, and NotebookLM.
So What? A model that reasons twice as well means your AI-assisted workflows get significantly more reliable. Think better market research synthesis, more accurate competitive analysis, and smarter content planning. If you've been frustrated by AI giving shallow answers on complex strategy questions, 3.1 Pro is worth testing inside NotebookLM or the Gemini app for your next deep-dive project.
Google rolls out Lyria 3 in Gemini for AI music generation:
Google's new AI music model, Lyria 3, is now live inside the Gemini app, letting users turn a text prompt or photo into customized 30-second tracks with auto-generated lyrics and cover art. The model handles genre, tempo, vocal style, and lyrics on its own. YouTube creators also get access through Dream Track for Shorts. Every track is tagged with Google's SynthID watermark, and users can upload any audio to check if it was AI-generated.
So What? AI music platforms like Suno and Udio have been producing impressive tracks, but they're niche tools most people haven't tried. Embedding Lyria inside Gemini puts AI music creation a prompt away for millions of users. For marketers, this means custom background tracks for Reels, Shorts, and ads without licensing headaches or production costs. The SynthID watermarking also signals that AI audio transparency is becoming standard, something to watch as you plan audio-heavy campaigns.
India hosts world's largest AI summit, 70+ nations near Delhi Declaration:
The world's largest-ever AI summit took place in New Delhi on February 19, with India's technology minister announcing at least 70 signatories for the "Delhi Declaration" on AI. The summit highlighted India's growing confidence in the global AI landscape, with notable absence from China and the U.S. signaling a preference for national autonomy over global AI governance.
So What? For founders and marketers operating globally, this signals a shift in how AI policy is being shaped. Middle-power nations are pushing for their own AI governance frameworks rather than defaulting to US or Chinese standards. If you're building AI-powered products or serving international clients, understanding regional AI regulations is becoming a competitive advantage, not just a compliance checkbox.
Anthropic launches Claude Code Security to find vulnerabilities at scale:
Anthropic released Claude Code Security in limited research preview for Enterprise and Team customers. The tool scans codebases for vulnerabilities and suggests targeted patches for human review. Unlike traditional pattern-matching security tools, it reasons about code like a human researcher, tracing data flows and component interactions. Using Claude Opus 4.6, Anthropic's team found over 500 vulnerabilities in production open-source codebases that had gone undetected for decades.
So What? If you're a solo founder or small team shipping code, security often gets deprioritized because it's expensive and time-consuming. AI-powered code security tools that reason about vulnerabilities (rather than just matching patterns) bring enterprise-grade protection within reach of smaller teams. This is also a signal that AI-assisted development is moving beyond "write code faster" into "write safer code," which matters for anyone handling customer data.

🤖 Bonus: Google's New AI Professional Certificate: Your 10-Hour Shortcut to AI Fluency
Google just launched a brand new AI Professional Certificate at the India AI Summit, and it's one of the most practical AI upskilling resources I've seen.
Here's why it matters: new research from Ipsos and Google shows that while 70% of managers believe an AI-trained workforce is critical for success, only 14% of workers have been offered AI training. That gap is where opportunity lives.
The certificate covers 7 courses you can complete in about 10 hours:
- AI Fundamentals — Core AI concepts and effective prompting
- AI for Brainstorming and Planning — Use AI to brainstorm concepts, build timelines, and create plans
- AI for Research and Insights — Leverage Deep Research and NotebookLM as research partners
- AI for Writing and Communicating — Turn rough notes into polished, stakeholder-ready messages
- AI for Content Creation — Generate images, video, and presentations with AI
- AI for Data Analysis — Transform messy data into clear insights using Gemini in Google Sheets
- AI for App Building — Master vibe coding and build a custom AI-powered app
Every learner gets 3 months of free Google AI Pro access to practice with Google's most capable models.
Available on Coursera, Google Skills, and Udemy at $49/month. And if you're a US small business owner, Google is offering it completely free along with 3 months of Google Workspace Business Standard through grow.google/small-business.
Major employers like Walmart, Deloitte, Verizon, and Colgate-Palmolive are already using it to train their teams.
That's a wrap for this week in AI.
See you next week,
